In order to be environmentally, socially and economically responsible Cbus Property CBW Pty Ltd together with Jones Lang LaSalle, as owner and manager of CBW respectively, have set industry leading sustainability parameters upon which the asset is to be operated and its performance judged.
For us, this means a fully integrated approach to sustainability initiatives commencing at building design and continuing right through construction to the operational stage of the development. This requires commitment of all participants - consultants, authorities, the Builder and sub-contractors and most importantly tenants and their staff.
We strongly believe the property industry as a whole is now confronting the dual challenge of a rapidly growing demand for similarly diminishing resources. The need to minimise the environmental impact of the workplace by reducing the use of natural resources, our carbon footprint and waste generated is a challenge accepted from the very commencement of this development.
As undoubtedly tenants share these values and objectives it is our intention to further this focus as the development proceeds to occupation by establishing a Sustainability Committee in conjunction with the building tenants. The initiatives established by this Committee will be communicated back to all tenants and adopted in the operation of CBW so that all organizations can benefit from them.
